Notes

Gateway classic cars of Detroit is proud to present this 1988 Chevrolet Camaro Iroc Z28. This isnt your average 350 Iroc. This one has a custom pro-built 568 Big Block killer engine with 800hp to the rear wheels! And thats without NOS! Although it does have a NOS fogger system, capable of a 150-500 shot, it has never been used. The 568ci is equipped with GM Performance super large oval port heads and valves, Victory titanium valves and locks, bronze guides, copper alloy seats, Lunati 4340 crank, Lunati roller cam and roller lifters, Harland sharp roller rockers, TRW 14.1 dome top pistons, hooker super comp headers, Arrowmotive 8 gallon fuel cell, built Demon carburetor, MSD pro billet distributor, MSD digital 6 plus coil, Big aluminum Northern radiator with a power master 155 amp alternator. All that power is mated to a Turbo 400 transmission that has been built with a JW reverse manual valve body, TCI 5500 race stall with anti balloon plate and a Hurst V-matic 2 shifter. In the rear we have Southside machine lift bars and a narrowed HD race 9in rear from Moser, 4.56 gears, 40 spline Moser axles, Billet pinion support, Moser billet pinion yoke, Billet Moroso U-joint girdles, with a custom 2000HP drive shaft!Putting down all that power down to a set of Crager one-off 3 piece wheels, with M/T street radials with rear disc brakes, custom K member and control arms with coil overs.Step inside this beast and you will find a 5-point safety harnesses for both driver and passenger on custom front seats, a 10 point cage, and 10 Autometer gauges to keep you busy with a memory tachometer. Dont let all that race stuff confuse or worry you as this is a street legal car and has a complete wiring harness, so that all the lights, turn signals, windows all work as they should. Features in the Camaro performers magazine, whether you plan on hitting the strip, or the street, this Tangelo Camaro will impress everyone, even if they can only hear it!

Bought a vehicle based on Gateways description and pictures 2 weeks ago. I live 1100 miles away, so I was trusting their word. What a big mistake!Vehicle was listed as a "fresh restoration in May 2016". The salesman(Brad at the Tampa branch)assured me this car was in great "show" condition. On arrival, the vehicle barely started, had no turn signal lights, instrument cluster lights, console lights, reverse lights,or functioning horn. Fuse box is completely rusted out. Their description said it had a Holley 850 CFM carburetor, but it a 670 CFM, and it's shot. Transmission, power steering , and radiator all leaking. They attempted to plug up the leaks with gasket sealant. Some linkage under the vehicle was held together with a wire and bent nail. Both exhaust brackets broken. AC and heat had been ripped out of the vehicle. Emergency braking system completely removed. Rear leaf spring broken. Windshield washer system also completely removed. And the engine has a knocking noise. My mechanic gave me an estimate of nearly $7000 dollares to bring this vehicle just up to specs. I forwarded the estimate to Gateway per their request. 2 days later, they called me back and said their is nothing they could do for me. That I signed a sales contract, so I'm just xxxx out of luck. They say it's not their fault the previous owner told Gateway inaccurate information regarding this car. By the way, the previous owner was the car "restorer". And i use this word extremely loosely. I purchased this vehicle for almost $30,000. I didn't purchase a project car. I'm so disgusted with this company and customer relations. And based on other complaints on this website about them, this seems to be a common practice for them. I really hope people who read this shop somewhere else, and pass the word on to friends and family. Gateway Classic Cars is a SHADY, CROOKED , company!!!
