Notes

Merit Partners is pleased to present our newly acquired 1969 Porsche 911S for sale, finished in Light Ivory over a Black leather interior. If the Porsche 911 is defined by anything it is the constant improvements it has undergone throughout the decades. Porsche has tinkered with the original design for 35 years with the first major revision occurring for the 1969 model year. Lengthening the wheelbase by 2.4 inches improved the sprightly handling of the original much to the approval of the motoring press. At the same time, 1969 featured the swan song for the high-compression, rev-happy 2.0-liter capacity engines. In Type 901/10 specification, as in this matching-numbers 911 S Coupe, it features Bosch Mechanical Fuel Injection (MFI) and 170-horsepower at 6,800 rpm. Slightly flared fenders to accommodate wider six-inch wheels rounded out the major improvements for this special 911 model year.According to a digital copy of its factory Kardex, this 1969 911 S Coupe, Porsche's most sporting and top-of-the-line model, was completed on 5 February 1969, finished in Light Ivory over an optional partial Black leather interior. Destined for the United States, it features highly desirable sport seats with black corduroy seating inserts. Factory-fitted options included tinted glass all around, a Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio, and a manual antenna on the left side. Furthermore, its Kardex confirms that the same 901/10 engine and transmission remain with this example as when sold new through Porsche Cars Southwest distributor in San Antonio, Texas.A history file of receipts and documents is provided with the car, with the earliest paperwork dating back to 2008. Most important are the restoration invoices dating from 2009-2010 after being purchased by James Hascall. During this period the car was in the hands of German Tech Inc. of Largo, Florida who performed restoration work to both the mechanicals and body. A full rebuild of the matching numbers engine and five-speed transmission was p
