Notes

Gateway Classic Cars of Indianapolis is proud to present this 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible w/Auxiliary Hardtop! Heading into the mid-60s Chevy was on a hot streak! Corvette had been performing well, both on the track and on paper. Recently off the successful and well received C1 design the C2 debuted in 1963 and the world was ready. The launch of the C2 Sting Ray captivated America and nearly everybody was itching to get behind the wheel of what would become one of the most loved generations of the long running Corvette line! Especially considering the C2 era only spanned from 1963-67. Speaking of getting behind the wheel, now over 50 years removed you have the same opportunity. The red paint has a nice shine, and the black soft-top looks in good shape. This car also comes with an auxiliary removeable hardtop that is body matching red and also in good order. The Chevy Rally wheels with Goodyear tires gives her a nice stance. Inside youll find black leather seats that are in good order. Under the hood is an HT code 350hp 327ci V8, and per the owner is the original engine and been partially rebuilt. Power is ran down through a rebuilt M21 4-speed manual gearbox that makes this car a blast to drive! Per the owner she only has 7500 miles on her since the rebuild. Current owner has had her for over 30 years, acquired from Corvettes of Houston. Car comes with service manual, assembly instruction manual, and various repair manuals. Title is clean and clear and ready to be transferred into your name now! If you are after a nice driver quality C2 Corvette that you can have the look of a coupe with the hardtop but the flexibility of being out with the convertible soft-top, while it also happens to be one of the higher horsepower models, and look good while doing it, this Corvette is for you! Options on this Corvette include: Power Steering, Power Windows, Manual Convertible Top, Leather Interior, AM/FM Radio, Seatbelts, Rally Wheels and Radial Tires. This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible is offered by our Indianapolis Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Bought a vehicle based on Gateways description and pictures 2 weeks ago. I live 1100 miles away, so I was trusting their word. What a big mistake!Vehicle was listed as a "fresh restoration in May 2016". The salesman(Brad at the Tampa branch)assured me this car was in great "show" condition. On arrival, the vehicle barely started, had no turn signal lights, instrument cluster lights, console lights, reverse lights,or functioning horn. Fuse box is completely rusted out. Their description said it had a Holley 850 CFM carburetor, but it a 670 CFM, and it's shot. Transmission, power steering , and radiator all leaking. They attempted to plug up the leaks with gasket sealant. Some linkage under the vehicle was held together with a wire and bent nail. Both exhaust brackets broken. AC and heat had been ripped out of the vehicle. Emergency braking system completely removed. Rear leaf spring broken. Windshield washer system also completely removed. And the engine has a knocking noise. My mechanic gave me an estimate of nearly $7000 dollares to bring this vehicle just up to specs. I forwarded the estimate to Gateway per their request. 2 days later, they called me back and said their is nothing they could do for me. That I signed a sales contract, so I'm just xxxx out of luck. They say it's not their fault the previous owner told Gateway inaccurate information regarding this car. By the way, the previous owner was the car "restorer". And i use this word extremely loosely. I purchased this vehicle for almost $30,000. I didn't purchase a project car. I'm so disgusted with this company and customer relations. And based on other complaints on this website about them, this seems to be a common practice for them. I really hope people who read this shop somewhere else, and pass the word on to friends and family. Gateway Classic Cars is a SHADY, CROOKED , company!!!
