When the Silver Cloud was released in April 1955, the car was an immediate success, with lessons learned from the Silver Dawn and Silver Wraith offering an astounding ride and ever more comfort. Unsurprisingly, the model became the car most people think of when one so much as mentions the storied British brand. Naturally, the company didn't rest on its laurels - three years later, the Silver Cloud II brought a 6.2L V8 to improve drivability and performance in addition to numerous quality-of-life adjustments. By the end of 1962, it was time for another three-year update, and Rolls-Royce announced the Silver Cloud III. Nearly every element of the car received updates. The exterior dimensions were adjusted and the grille was lowered for improved aerodynamics. More noticeable are the now-iconic quad headlamps. Engine output increased approximately seven percent thanks to new carburetors and, in some markets, a higher compression ratio. The interior was also remodelled, allowing for more space and better integration of features such as air conditioning which were becoming increasingly popular with buyers. All told, the company produced 2,044 regular wheelbase Silver Cloud IIIs, the lowest of any of the standard Silver Clouds. These cars are impressive to ride or drive in and, thanks to their instantly recognizable shape, sure to catch the attention of anyone who sees it. The impressive 1965 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III featured here is finished in classic Mason Black over a gorgeous Beige Connolly leather interior featuring magnificent Burled Walnut woodwork throughout. This remarkable Rolls-Royce was just released from a private, world-class collection where it has been on display and used sparingly. Prior to that, the car had been subject to a cosmetic and mechanical restoration and still presents well today. This exceptional Silver Cloud III was fitted with many options, including factory air conditioning, power steering, power windows, rear picnic trays, and an AM/FM radio with an electric aerial. I personally believe the investment potential of this moving work of art will grow beyond imagination. We are proud to offer this investment-grade Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III to the most demanding collector, investor, or enthusiast who aspires to
