Rob was very accommodating on initial call and initiated a "Skype" call so I could see all details of the vehicle. Unfortunately even after I called the California DMV and they said the dealer "could" get a temporary tag for me to drive the vehicle out of California but not all dealers would, Rob would not so I did not purchase from him. Logistics of purchasing the vehicle from out of state and a ridiculous plan to truck the vehicle to Nevada was just not something that made any sense giving the fact that the DMV would allow a temporary tag.
Just had a really positive experience buying a used Tiguan from Palace Auto Center. We actually went to look at an Audi A3, but with a thought to look at the Tiguan while we were there. Rob was very helpful in suggesting a nice test drive route and was very accommodating to let us drive both cars, no pressure or sleazy sales tactics. Most of the cars are indoors which helped as we went during one of our few wet days, all of the stock seemed to be on the higher end of the used spectrum and well prepared for sale. After giving us plenty of time to make our minds up, Rob was very reasonable in negotiating a small price drop on what I felt was already a good deal, and the paperwork was quick and painless. Everything considered I have to say this was probably the best used car deal I have experienced and I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a (mostly European) used car.
I've bought several cars over the years and this was one of the easiest most enjoyable experiences I've had yet. As a serious automotive enthusiast who had done close to 100 hours of research on the car I wanted, all I had to do was find it. And I found it on here at their dealership. I showed up on a holiday weekend and they were quite busy, but I had made an appointment to see the car. They copied my drivers license, tossed me the keys and told me to go take a drive and come back in a half hour or so. Half shocked, half giddy I jumped in the car and took off. Due to the banks being overloaded with applications I had to come back a few days later to finalize the paperwork. But there was never pressure to buy or push me to another car. Not that it would have worked anyway, but I appreciated how they let me go after what I wanted. I've been in the sales business for over a decade and know most of the tricks, and they didn't use any of them. They want you to enjoy whatever car you buy as much as you do. My one complaint was the car I ended up buying had been used as a dealer car for a few weeks before I took delivery, and when I drove home the gas needle was at E. But in my past dealings if that's the worst part of the experience I can deal with it. Needless to say whenever I'm looking to buy another car again they will be one of the places I specifically seek out before buying anything.
We purchased our beautiful 2007 Lexus 350 from Palace Auto Center. Rob and Naomi were not only very cordial, they were up front and honest. This was quite refreshing as we have had unhappy outcomes with our previous vehicle purchases, and the inaccurate information from the sales people. I can highly recommend Palace Auto and can also guarantee that they will supply you with the necessary information and honest advice that shall allow for you to make your best decision....one way or another.
