Our salesman name was Alex, he was very pleasant, great with my kids, made us comfortable . Any questions we had were answered. One of the best experiences we have had at this nissian dealership. We go back, in hopes of Alex still being there! Thank you Alex!

I took my car to Hertrich Nissan of Dover in Nov 2014 to get an oil change. They recommended to get my battery replaced and I stupidly agreed. I wasn't smart enough; I was being cheap for bringing my Acura MDX to Nissan. After a year, I had trouble starting my car. I would get a jump from co-workers and friends just to get my car started. On 04 Dec 2015, I went to Hertrich Nissan for an appointment. I spoke with Amanda Migliocco and I was told that I was not on their appointment list. I told her that I spoke with Michael over the phone when I scheduled the appointment. She had to call Michael to verify and found out that 2 customers were booked on the same time slot. I waited for hours, and the mechanic only tightened the terminal. I was charged $77 for the skillful tightening of the terminal. After I paid, I was told that my car was getting washed. I waited for almost 20 minutes. Amanda told me that it should be ready outside. We went outside in the cold and the car wasn't there. She checked and she said it's getting washed and it will be out in a minute; their minute is equivalent to >15 minutes. My car came back without a single spot of water. It was NOT washed at all. (The lies begin?) I told the guy who drove my car, "I thought you guys were washing my car?". He said "it's not working!" and turned around. The next day, my car wouldn't start again. I called Nissan, told them about my experience and asked for the general manager to call me. The general manager I guess instructed the service department supervisor, Tom, to call me. I was able to bring it back on 08 Dec 2015 and the terminal was replaced for no charge. The problem was not solved though. I asked my friend who used to work as a mechanic in Nissan Florida to check my car. He tested the battery and told me that the battery was not holding a charge. On 28 Dec 2015, I took my car back to Nissan and told them what my friend told me. They did a REAL test this time (they claimed that they did a battery test in previous visits) and the battery test showed a "FAIL". I only used my lunch break hour to get this checked and I had to go back. The guy at the desk told me that the Parts Department need to see the "FAIL" battery test report to approve the replacement of the battery. I had to go back to work so I asked the guy again when it's going to be done. He said they already started replacing the battery. When it was getting close to 1:00P.M. (time to go back to work), I asked again. The guy told me that they have to order the battery and will just call me when the battery comes. (Another lie?) The next day, I called around 1:00P.M. as they haven't called me. The guy said they called me and left a voice message to notify me that the battery has arrived. (More lies?) I told him I never received a call nor a voice message. I asked them what # they called, they told some made up #. After giving them my phone # several times, it should've been updated in their system. I came and got my battery replaced for no charge. NOTE: I was not handed any paperwork for the work done. I would've asked for a receipt if I paid, but since I was not charged, I didn't care. On 25 Jan 2016, my car wouldn't start again. I thought maybe because it was just cold. On 26 Feb 2016, it didn't start again. I would need my car to get a jump for it to start everyday. Based on the test that Martel Foreign Car Center did, my battery (Nissan battery)is not holding a charge. Again?! I called Nissan on 29 Feb 2016, told them the issue and I told them that they just replaced my battery in Dec 2015. I spoke with Kristin and she told me that they don't have any documentation that my battery was replaced in Dec 2015. She stated that there was a documentation that it was replaced in 2014. She also mentioned that my Nissan Sentra was serviced there in 2015. I got so frustrated and told her that my Sentra was sold in 2012. I told her that Tom, Service Department supervisor, should remember and she said that he denies having it done for my car. I called again today and spoke with Tom. He firmly denied that my battery was replaced there in Dec 2015. They're making it seem like I'm insane. I'm pretty sure they have cameras if we really need to go back to that date to prove that these people are bunch of liars. I should be sending this to Better Business Bureau. I'm military. I will not submit a false claim and jeopardize my career! THIS PLACE IS HORRENDOUS! NO INTEGRITY! I will NEVER recommend this to anyone!

Horrible Car Buying Experience!

This has been the worst car buying experience that I have ever had! The finance team ran my credit against at least 10 banks, which resulted in my credit score being lowered. The finance team then tried to tell me what amount my deductible had to be for my insurance and constantly harassed me until I threatened to return the car and then miraculously my deductible amount was acceptable. On top of all of this, the car could not be inspected in NJ due to computer issues and they refused to help with the situation. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE A CAR FROM HERE!

Major Repair Warranty Issue

I purchased a pre-owned Nissan Murano and based on my concern with the Nissan CVT drive train opted for an extended (major repair) warranty policy as part of the sale that included a refund if the repair policy was not used. I never heard from Hertrich after the sale until I made contact regarding the issue below. I mistakenly thought the repair policy was coterminous with the loan and missed the date to request my refund. You would think that the policy provider would know whether their policy had been used or not and would have been pro-active in contacting me and returning my $1400 dollars. Escalating through the policy provider, Hertrich and Nissan did no good. Very displeased with this dealership and would not recommend them.

I bought a 2015 Nissan Versa Note. The salesperson Zach worked very hard to find exactly the type of vehicle I was looking for. The process was painless and stress free. The people I came in contact with were friendly, professional, and I got a very good price for my trade in. Not once did I feel pressure to buy a car I was not happy with. This was an excellent car buying experience!

I went to the service center and asked to check the charging system because the battery of my car was not charging properly and battery and brakes lights were blinking at the same time which means the alternator is not working properly to charge the battery to run the car. I had a coupon of $38 to check the charging system but the person at the counter force me to go for the complete checkup so he can charge $99, but I stick to check only the charging system because I knew there was a problem with the alternator. Anyway on that day they fixed my car basically they just charged my battery and said everything is good so I went to my home but on the next day I had the same problem so I called them to get the appointment. On my next appointment day I reached at 10 am in the morning and after 4 hours the same guy came to me and said it is alternator problem and then I asked him why you guys didn't check at the first time even I am not a technical person but I told you it is a alternator problem which is not charging battery. Anyway they asked me to wait another one hour to change the alternator and charged me more than $500 even the best quality alternator is available is only $150. I am very disappointed because they wasted my lots of time and money. Please do not go there they are not honest. Munir Muhammad

If you purchased a vehicle from Hertrich Nissan please pray you don't have any problems that require maintenance. Took my Nissan Sentra 2013 (11,400) miles to Hertrich because there was a rattle under the dashboard. When I went to pick up my vehicle I told there was loose screw on the heater that needed tightening up. Took my 20 minute trip home and the heat in the car no longer worked along with the throttle to open the gas cap. Took the car back to have that repaired. Day 1, mechanic had to leave for an emergency. Day 2, I called at the end of the day to find out if my vehicle was ready for pick-up, they said it was, get in the car and the service manager tells me this long story on how these kind of cars take a long time to heat up and that I need to turn it to 90% to get the car warm. I have had this car for 16 months, I bought it brand new and never had the heat above 74%, also the car was fine until they took the dash apart. Now I'm in the sit and wait portion from the Service Manager. This situation is worst than it sounds but for the sake of the long version I left a lot out. Point being PRAY YOU DON'T HAVE TO USE HERTRICH NISSAN'S SERVICE DEPARTMENT. For those of you who had a better experience, good for you guys, because my experience was anything but.
