This was my first real time buying a car on my own. I'm a grad student so not only did I need something reliable, I needed to be able to afford it. I scoured the internet for trucks in my area (Binghamton, NY) - everything was over $10k and over 100k miles. Student loans are a black spot on anyone in my position, which makes it hard when looking for an honest, reasonable dealer with a good loan officer. I originally called about a car that was a little over 100K miles but under $5k. I got two calls the next morning from David. I called back and I was almost floored by his honesty. He said the car was making a "small sound" and he "wouldn't feel right" about selling it to me unless it was at a much lower price. He then recommended a truck that had only 66K miles for $5K with a perfect Carfax. I had no idea how it could be that low (compared to Binghamton prices) so I drove down to NJ for a test drive. Not only was it everything that I wanted, he held the truck while I got my own finances in order (for almost two weeks). There were more than a few interested parties with cash in hand. But he held true to his word and held it because he said he would. I have heard so many horror stories from my friends buying cars from smaller dealerships. I have to say that this could not have been a better, easier, or more enjoyable experience. I would recommend DND Auto Group to anyone looking for an honest dealer and positive experience. My name is Rebekah and it just so happens that his daughter is also named Rebekah. So rarely do I find strangers with my best interests in mind. It is even more rare to find someone who knows how to spell my name. It was, as they say, kismet. To DND Auto Group - Thank you for a wonderful experience and I'll make sure to stop by and say hello very soon!

Just like to note that we recently purchased a pick-up from DND. The truck was in great shape and the price couldn't be beat. This was our second purchase from DND and Dennis has always been very helpful. I would recommend DND to my friends and family anytime. They are easy to do business with and never pushy. Oh, and their mechanic Forest in the back was extremely helpful as well. If your in need of a good used vehicle, look these guys up!!

Great People to Do Business With!

I recently purchased a 2000 Ford Excursion 7.3 Powerstroke with 170K listed on Cars.com. from DND. I came 600+ miles to pick it up and found the vehicle to be extremely close to expectations and I am totally pleased with the vehicle and all aspects of the transaction. Knowing that I would be driving it 600+ miles back, Dennis had it serviced and ready to go - even put on new wipers since he knew I would be driving through heavy rain. There were no problems on the trip back or since. I had some concerns prior to purchasing after reading some of these negative reviews, but I knew what I wanted, asked the right questions and got straight answers. There are going to be a few complaints in any business, especially with used cars, but these can probably be traced back to inexperience, failure to do one's homework and maybe a little bad luck. And a little research on the internet can steer you away from troublesome vehicles from the start. Unfortunately, most satisfied customers don't take the time to write a positive review and, if they did, based on my experience, I believe it would show there are a wealth of pleased DND customers out there!

Shame on you!

Do not buy cars from DND....They sell cars knowing that they have major issues! Earlier this year we bought a 1999 Volvo for $2,500 and it has had nothing but problems from day 1. It stalls while driving, just dies in the middle of traffic and won't start again for some time. This is very dangerous for the young driver it was purchased for. Two local mechanics have told me that this car was a RIP OFF. We have put $1,000 into it and still sits in my driveway because it needs an electronic throttle module that only the dealer can replace. The ignition also needs to be replaced. Now trying to sell this heap, only difference is that I am being HONEST with the buyer. Oh and I'd also like to mention that there was a container of antifreeze in the trunk. My husband asked if it was leaking and they said No even though we could smell it! They supposedly fixed it while we went out well apparently not since it overheated the first week and I had to tow it to our mechanic. Shame on these people!

Three months ago I purchased a 2000 Saab 9-3 from DND Group Sales. Before purchasing the owner (Dennis) told my father and I that there was a valve cover gasket that needed to be fixed, so he told us he would fix it. A few days later we purchased the car. I drove the car for two weeks, I am a college student and drive from my address to the County College of Morris. Only two weeks of driving the car on my way to work after school the car started smoking and the idle was extremely rough. I pulled over and opened my hood to find that the engine was covered in oil. I called my parents and they called insurance and within 15 minuets a tow truck arrived and took me and the car home. That night my father and I took off the valve cover off and found out to our surprise that the Valve cover gasket that had been "fixed" was broken into six different pieces. So we went out, bought a new one and replaced it, but the car was still not running as it should be. So my father called DND and explained the situation, Dennis told us to bring it in and he'd take a look at it. That night we dropped the car off. It took four weeks for them to figure out was wrong. Two weeks later the car was finally finished. But this was after DND had told us it would be done several times. Six weeks in total. A piston, all the gaskets, and the timing chain guide all needed to be replaced. The car was given back to us with the check engine light on. Upon further inspection we found a bolt jammed into a hose and another hose leading to the engine had a piece of foam to hold it in. I had the car for another week and a half after we had lost it for six weeks until last Monday. Smoke was pouring out of the tailpipe, the car is not able to be driven, the same problem as before. I couldn't even get it inspected. DND will not refund us the money. The car has no warranty but after the bolts in the hose, and a week and a half after they worked on it the car had the same problem. That is my experience with DND.

poor service,and not truthful.

i spoke with Dennis on the phone for one week, and told him all about my truck.that i was trading in for a 2001 regal, and to give him some cash with the trade in.we spoke the day befor i was to drive the 1 and half hours to the dealership, and made clear what my truck was in detail and that it was NOT 4x4 truck, and when i got there he said he can not help me,be,cause my truck is not a 4x4,which i told him the day befor.so i wasted my time.

I drove 5 hours to their dealership to buy a 2500 Dodge Ram Pickup. I had 3 phone conversations about the condition of the truck. Truck was suppose to be virtually rust free with no dents or dings. They told me the tires had about 80% tread left, and the interior except for a small dash crack was very good. The body of the truck was poor major rust on lower drivers side rocker panel, passenger side quad door had heavy rust on door, numerous dings on truck especially the truck bed and they forgot to mention until I got there that the oil pressure gauge was fluctuating high to low readings. The rear tires were good about 60% tread, front tires had abut 20% tread left. Large nickel size burn whole in passenger seat but the rest of interior was decent. Needless to say they sold me a bill of goods to drive all the way down there just to turn around and drove 5 hours back with no truck. Great waste of a whole day and gas!
