1965 Buick Riviera
This Riviera was bought new in Brampton, Ontario. It went under a full off-the-frame restoration at The Guild of Automotive Restorers in 2001. The exterior and interior look as good now as when the car was freshly restored. This is a turn key car that can be driven anywhere. 1965 was the first year for the Gran Sport model. This Gran Sport model came with upgraded suspension and a high performance 425ci V-8 with dual 4 barrel carburetors, special camshafts and special exhaust headers. In 1965 Buick built 34,586 Rivierias, of these: 28,467 were equipped with the standard 401 ci engine (LT), 2,311 with the optional 425 ci (LW) and 3,808 with the Super Wildcat 425 dual 4 bbl (LX). There were 3,354 Gran Sports built in 65.
