1950 Oldsmobile 88 Deluxe Club Coupe,  Recently completed frame off restoration incorporating 60’s era Oldsmobile components into our 1950 Oldsmobile Rocket 88 Deluxe Club Coupe. This Coupe has great bones starting with a 50,000 mile car from the Dakota’s and in the 50’s and 60’s they sanded, not salted the roads. We have owned this car for 34 years and have a clear title in my name. Frame, body, and all metal components were chemically dipped. All chrome was re-chromed and the stainless was buffed and polished. PPG base/clear was applied in 2017 in Chariot Red, a stock 1950 Oldsmobile color which I preferred over the original green.  The interior was completed in a Palomino vinyl color with matching plush carpeting.  Today’s odometer reads 2000 miles on rebuild. Modifications and Materials Oldsmobile 425 cu. in. balanced and blueprinted engine, forged crank with mild Engle cam with many engine components sourced from Modello.  Edelbrock 650 cfm carburetor and 10:1 engine compression Oldsmobile Turbo 400 transmission with shift kit, and mild street torque convertor Cutlass 12 bolt 3:42 posi-traction rear end with adjustable shocks Oldsmobile mid 90’s reconditioned aluminum wheels (6) with (4) new tires.  Original front suspension with 2” dropped spindles and 1” sway bar Dual stainless exhaust pipes Power drum brakes with Cutlass power steering Converted to 12 volt New glass except for the back window Oldsmobile Tilt & Telescopic column from a 98 Provided separately:  unfinished set of fender skirts and used one piece front windshield without trim   This 50 Oldsmobile coupe is not a radical street machine, rather a mild running coupe with a nice dual exhaust tone, lurking around to run with the old school Chevys and Fords.  Inspections are welcome and my phone is 414-651-4180.
