This is my second purchase from Browns Performance Cars. Living out of town I had to rely on the information provided on line and by the sales rep Rob. In both cases everything was as described. I would certainly recommend this company to anyone. Thank you Browns . Now my new 69 Camero is parked right next to my 70 Chevelle., Lou

Friendly (DREAM PLACE)

The main thing I asked for when buying a 1970 Camaro from Rob was his honest opinion on the paint and body. I was excepting to have to correct mechanical issues with a 46 year old car but made it clear I did not want to deal with paint and body issues.I was completely mislead and lied to. The video and advertising says "FRESH PAINT" which was not true. After finding 36 dings, scratches, rock chips and other issues, I knew I had been took. Contacted 2 of previous owners and found out paint was 12 years old. In the video you can see Rob intentionally video around a rather large(1.5 inches) paint chip with a long 16 inch scrap down rear quarter that had been half assed touched up. He promised the paint was 8 out of 10.Even after a 42 hour extreme paint restoration process that I paid for, the paint is maybe 6.5 out of ten. Very poor quality paint to start with. Hang on, I'm just getting started. The delivery was a total joke.. Promised I would have car by the weekend if I paid that day(Tuesday). I paid and of course car was not picked up until Friday. So on Sunday no call came dealer or driver. Called Browns Monday and they said we will check on it right away. No call back on Monday. No call back on Tuesday. I called back and they had no clue of where the car was nor did they care. So long story short my 25k Camaro with fresh paint was on the open trailer for 8 days( Only had to go 400 miles for delivery). When I received car you could not tell what color it was. Completely covered in dirt, mud, road grime and had 1/2 rocks laying on the hood and cowl, no joke. Get car started after jumping battery and proceed to drive home a total of six miles. Didn't make it. Car instantly over heated and had to pull over.Radiator only had maybe 1 gallon of water if that's what you want to call it. It was more like rusty muck. Finally get it home and find entire cooling system is shot from rust.so all new system had to be installed including radiator, hoses, water pump, stat and had to have intake manifold boiled out to clean. Also found the car to be 1.5 qts.. low on oil. Brake reservoir was completely empty. You guessed it, brakes were bad and leaking.Thank God I didn't have my son in this very unsafe care. The motor did not run right and was very obvious to even a used car salesman let along a mechanic they say goes thru all their cars. They never looked at this car at all. All they did was a fast wax job, paint up issues with the interior and parked it under the shiny bright lights and proceed to sugar coat everything video ,pictures and lies. I could go on and on about issues with this car.Its one thing to lie about a car but another thing that is so bothering is they don't even care about your safety, very scary car to drive. At least I have the knowledge to fix any mechanical issues, excluding paint and body. I feel sorry for others who would have to pay for this work. Another reason you know they don't care about the consumer is not one follow up call, not even to see if the car was delivered in one piece.Rob knew I was looking to buy a second classic car as soon as I found one I wanted. He never called back because he knew I would not be happy once I received my car. That's ok and glad I found an awesome Challenger from a honest seller.Do NOT buy from this dealer. They rely on its a 46 year old car and it was AS IS. This should be their motto. Long story long, They are CROOKS!!! Buyer Beware!!

When they say buyer beware, they should have a picture of this dealership. They do not know what they are selling and if it is junk, they hope to pass it off as something other than that. DO NOT TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP. In addition, the employees are not honest people.

Car described was not the car I got

I was told professionally built, WOW so far from truth. Bought 69 camaro, beautiful car outside junk inside, heads were cracked along with block, motor had lifter rattle that couldn't be stopped so after pulling heads and discovering cracks we pulled cam only to discover 3 lobes completely gone, pulled motor to discover flywheel had been ground so much clutch springs had worn heads almost off on flywheel bolts.....so 4000.00 later, new motor, flywheel, clutch, pressure plate we got the car we thought we were buying. BUYER BEWARE

3 strikes your out!

Horrible Experience! ...I cannot stress this enough.. The employees all carry attitudes which make them seem like they own the dealership. I merely wanted an appraisal on my muscle car but all three times I was treated like a 2nd class customer and they danced their way around giving me a quote. I looked at several cars there and all were less desirable of cars and trucks. Go to Flemings Ultimate Garage in Rockville, MD this is where I bought mine 8 years ago and at least I was treated like a True customer and got mine for a reasonable price out the door.If I could rate this place a -5 star I really would due to employees working at this facility...DO NOT BUY FROM BROWNS PERFORMANCE AND LETS SHOW THEM WE CAN SHUT THE DOORS ON THIS HORRIBLY RUN BUISNESS .....

not delivered in condition as promised

Sales person was courteous and polite. That is where it ends. Auto was delivered without a test drive by dealer. What was promised and agreed upon was not delivered. Car was not safe. When brakes applied, car pulled hard to left. Still had oil leaks and many things did not work on car. Deal was that everything would work on car. I gave full asking price and did not haggle on price if all was agreed upon. I could write a book. Bottom line, I have spent over $8000 to get this car in good working order. I sent the owner a registered letter asking for some response. Nothing! They made a lot of money on this vehicle and because of or lack of not following thru on original agreement, they have lost a future customer and no positive recommendation.

Deceitful and dishonest

Paid TOP dollar (maybe more than top) for a 72 Lemans .Stated "NEW engine with build sheet, 500 aprox miles on it.Otherwise car was in great shape".What i got however was anything but.First off, dead battery, couldn't even start it on arrival - still dying - needs replacing.Paint was scoured like someone took a Brillo pad to it.Electrical was a NIGHTMARE, harness hacked and just the worst job i've ever seen.Direct battery leads just dangling behind the dash.Interior was painted to mask issues. Convertible top worn with a tear .Truck/conv top seals rusted out, causing mold and SMELL in the interior - they tried to mask with paint again. And to top it off, even now 3 months later i've been able to drive it 15 miles, as the motor has no oil pressure and developed a hard knock - 5-10K gone right there !Transmission (stated rebuilt - but found Rebuild in 1994! - also leaking. Also found a spark plug cable pulled off on arrival - odd since they had been running the motor.Betting this is the dead cylinder , and they knew all along.I plan to hose down this dealers reputation on every you tube or online post , just to warn others that they ARE NOT to be trusted !

they got over on me...

I purchased a car from the Brown's performance dealership and learned an expensive lesson. The engine knocked and after an invasive search, the bearings were gone, the crank was bad producing metal shavings, meanwhile the steering pitman arm was bad. Obviously no one cared to sell a rag to a customer just to make a buck. The salesman couldn't identify the correct engine, carburetor, or transmission. Buyer beware and go somewhere else, do not get enticed.
